At Advanced Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry we accept
most major PPO and HMO insurance plans. Your dental plan is a
form of compensation provided by your employer. You can expect
the carrier (insurance company) to reimburse a certain portion
of our fee, or if you have a managed care plan, you are given
the discounted member fee. That portion or a fee is determined
by the contract between your employer and the insurance company.
The higher the premium paid by your company, the more generous
the reimbursement or rate maybe.
It is our pleasure to assist you in maximizing your insurance
benefit by completing your claim forms. If your carrier is up to
date (in over 70% of the cases), the claims will be transmitted
via computer modem before the end of the treatment day! If your
insurance company postpones payment for more than 60 days, we
ask that you make the remaining payment while we work together
to get the insurance company to pay you their obligation.
The range of benefits depends solely on what your
employer wishes to purchase. Some plans cover as little
as 30% or as much as 100% of dental services, with most falling
in the 40% to 80% range. Many plans base the amount of benefit
on a schedule of fees arbitrarily developed by insurance
companies. For this reason, you may receive a lower percentage
than the reimbursement level indicated in your dental plan. For
example, if your plan states that it will pay 80% of the cost of
a specific treatment, it means 80% of the fee arbitrarily
determined by the insurance company and not the actual fee
charged by our office.
As a convenience to you, we will help you process your insurance
claims in order for you to receive the maximum benefit. We will
also gladly provide dental x-rays and a written diagnostic
report should your insurance company have any questions about
the services provided.
At all times, you can be confident that we will always provide
you with our best services without regard to the limitations
imposed by your insurance coverage. Our office is a "health
centered" as opposed to an "insurance centered" practice. Our
treatment recommendations are based on patient needs, not their
insurance benefits. We promise to obtain on your behalf any
benefits for which you may be eligible; however we will not let
insurance influence a plan that is in our opinion not in your
best interest. To do otherwise would violate our contract with
you — a contract we feel morally obliged to honor.
The financial obligation for the dental treatment is between you and our office
